The Gibson Honey charity Xmas party took place last Saturday and it was a highly successful evening in which we raised over £300 for charity. As you can see from the photos, the theme was Disney fancy dress. We had a competition for the best dressed and the winners, Andrew & Danielle Kent (the green aliens from Toy Story, with the claw) got to choose a charity where the money is being sent to. We are splitting the money between Children with cancer UK and Action Duchenne http://www.actionduchenne.org/
The background behind choosing Action Duchenne is that Andrews God Son Noah, who recently turned five, was diagnosed with Duchenne Musculary Dystrophy last year. The charity was set up to help find a cure for the condition (For more info please click this link: http://www.actionduchenne.org/what-is-duchenne-muscular-dsytrophy/). Any money raised will go a long way in providing help and support for the small number of children (Approximately 2500) effected with this condition in the UK. If you feel like donating yourself please use the link above.
You can also donate to the other charity, Children with cancer UK, who Gibson Honey are sponsoring this year. Please use the link below.
Special thanks to The Clubhouse on Breakspear Road, Ruislip which is a wonderful venue and the band Mowgli, who are beyond brilliant! Also, thank you to all the guests who made it a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We were amazed at the effort that everyone went to with their costumes. We are looking forward to next year already.
Please check out all the photos from this wonderful evening.
Have a great Xmas and a prosperous New Year.
